Happy Lee-Jackson Day!

Today in Dixie it is Lee-Jackson Day which is the day in which Dixons honor the service and celebrate the birthday of Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. While this holiday is only officially celebrated in Virginia, many Dixons throughout Dixie still observe and celebrate this day anyway.

Since about 1899 the third Monday in January has been reserved to observe the birthday of Lee and Jackson. Lee’s birthday is January 19th and Jackson’s is January 21st. So to save time it was decided to combine both days together into one day.

The above picture was taken this morning at the Virginia Military Institute in front of Jackson’s statue.

About Cracker Commander

I'm a proud native Florida Cracker, Confederate, Dixon, Christian, and ardent Constitutionalist. I have dedicated my life to exposing the America for the Federal Empire that it is, and to push for peaceful secession for the native people of Dixie (Dixons) and Texas (Texans). God Save Dixie!
