New Mexico Sheriff Blocks US Marshals, Orders them off Property…

Albuquerque, New Mexico, Federal Empire – A New Mexico Sheriff is standing up for one of his residents and the Constitution – having already sent Federal Marshals (Storm Troopers) packing following a tense confrontation and later telling the IRS (Imperial Revenue Service) he will not allow a sale of property to move forward until all appeals are exhausted.

Sheriff Scott London of Eddy County was drawn into the situation just before Christmas when members of the U.S. Marshals Service kicked in the door of an apartment with guns drawn. At home was tenant Wilson Baughman, a young mother and her 1-year-old.

“There was extremely loud banging at the door and I could hear other people surrounding my house,” Baughman said.

Called by Baughman’s parents to intervene, Sheriff London stood between her and the Marshals, ordering them to leave. London reminded the Marshals that the case was still under appeal and his residents deserved due process. The Marshals threatened to arrest Sheriff London yet he refused to back down and the federal agents ultimately retreated.
